Has anyone on here had any dealings with either one of these two new weight loss medications?  I'm not even sure that Belvaq is out on the market yet but I know that Osymia is.  There is a restricted distribution by the manufacturer and apparently, only Walgreens and Publix pharmacies here in Florida carry this medication.  I didn't even see any CVS pharmacies on that list.  I'm looking for some information to see if this stuff actually works on the obese.  The manufacturer of Belvaq says that this medication is for those with a BMI of 30 or greater and one or more comorbity problems such as Hypertension, Type II Diabetes, etc.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks folks,

Herrball

Admin edit:

Drug is called QSYMIA® (Kyoo sim ee’ uh), not Osymia.

Why Thank you

I have really poor eyesight right now and I'm in the process of getting that all fixed but I thought the wod began with an O not a Q.  Thanks for straightening that out.

I have been on Qsymia for about 5 weeks

I have been on Qsymia for about 5 weeks and have lost about 15-17 pounds. Now my weight has plateaued and I can't seem to shake anymore weight off. It goes up two pounds, down two pounds, the same as before I began taking the pills. I have added some light exercise into my regimen and have gone down a clothing size. I'm happy with that. I think my body is adjusting/adapting to the medication. I'm thinking of going off the Qsymia for a week or so to get it completely out of my system and start all over again. My cravings for sweets/candies have all but gone away. Every once in a while I'll indulge, but not nearly like I used to. I don't think about food until I'm actually hungry.
