Dear Pain People: We have to share our encounters with doctors, only if we stand united can we learn what is happing all around us.I know we are all getting screwed out of the pain mediction we need and deserve. One has to speak up and only if we band together can we affect change.I am in search of another doctor so mine does not own me.I am fighting back swearing like a pig now as I cannot recall ever being this mad as an adult. What the CDC(enemy) is saying is that unless you have cancer or in need of palitive end of life Bull &??$ I ever heard.what is going on is a 45 Billion dollar bussines is taking root in the shell that used to be our world. We did not ask for pain and we do not want to be treated like a bunch of junkies but that is what the CDC and ANYONE who goes along with them is saying......Our so called acrring doctors are making us taxe tox screens, not do this .Make these a priorityor do that and we are scared and tired and we hurt.                                                     "Maybe it is time to hurt back." Hurt back through a letter wrighting campaine or civil diobedence.Unless we affect change no body will help us.We HAVE to help ourselves.I may sue my doctor for "abandonment" If a doctor dissmisses you without cause or with cause but does not allow you 30 days (at the least)time to secure another doctor he or she is violating the law at least where I am. Call or serch for the medical malpractice laws in your state and check them out. There are pain laws that are avalible that pertain to the patient,It is our PAIN PATIENTS BILL OF RIGHTS and I found several online versions which differ ever so lightly and MUST be followed by the pigs that used to be our trutsed doctors. I will list them all but for now number 2) "We must be treated with respect." 3) We are allowed to "make mistakes" Number 4) "Do less than we are humanly capable of" 5) "Change our minds"       6)"Ask for what we want"7)"Take our time to slow down and think before we act"8)Ask for information"9)"Ask for help"10)"Feel good about ourselves"11)"Disagree" as in DISAGRE with your doctor.12)N"ot have to expalin everything we do and think"13)"Say NO and not feel bad"14)"Ask why???"15) "Be listened to and taken seriously when expressing our feelings"Later RD

PAIN NEWS: MY PAIN MEDICATION UPHELD AT A FAIR DOSE

CoolWell, after a severe month of worries, I went back to my original doctor and pain clinic.I was cut way down then off of my Diazepam and agreed to stop everything I had been doing wrong  and came to an agreement to retain my current dosage of MS Contin and Oxycodone.I am getting a bit more than the 90MGs (210ME) that the insane CDC says I should get, but that CDC thing is a recommendation, not law so for now as long as I "play by the rules" I will be comfortable on my dosage. But everything's at a price, I was given the choice between diazepam(Valium)and my Pain medicine.I chose to stay out of pain even as I have been on Valium since 1978. So I cannot do anything that may jeopardize my pain program and my latest MRI is just plain scary.I fully intend to keep on trying to get the word out for the legacy patients(that is what they call us)And our own Surgeon General said: "People who are chronic pain patients deserve to be allocated their normal amounts of pain meds." I stood up and more or less demanded my pain medicine be kept  at a normal level but had to sacrifice my Valium and my smoke, we cant have both it seems:  GO to the WASHINGTON STATE LAWS and you can read their bulletin that states that an ME(morphine eqivalent) of 120mgs  or more is what they are going by and enter "Pain  medicine News" in your search engines and you will have many, many serious articles of people and groups who are writing in protest to the CDC's unfair assement of the "problem" you can print or send these to your doctors it may be worth it........Peace, RD.Cool
